Charlie Crist is NOT a leader

Florida governor Charlie Crist has no business being a governor and he should be removed from being able to run for US Senate!

Solely at the behest of lobbying and petition efforts by the Polk County Sheriff’s, Crist signed a death warrant for Paul Beasley Johnson last year. This criminal was still in the middle of his appeals due to serious prosecutorial misconduct at his trial. There are scores of killers on death row that are much more qualified for a warrant whose appeals have run out but Crist chose this guy simply because a sheriff asked him to. Sadly, Crist has become the poster child for the “arbitrary and capricious” poster. Last October, the Florida Supreme Court granted the defendant a stay of execution thereby denying the governors warrant and expressed their frustration at his premature decision.

Governor Crist has clearly shown that he does not have the ability to make a rational connection between the facts given him and the choices he makes. Or if he does, he makes his decisions based on political pressure rather than doing the right thing. He has no business being the Governor of Florida or running for US Senate. Florida needs a leader with backbone in the US Senate not a spineless worm who succumbs to anybody with access to his door.
